OTT platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video are all the rage these days. They have established themselves as frontrunners in producing entertaining content that gets everyone talking. There are only a handful of youngsters in the country who have not binged on blockbuster web shows like Scared Games and Mirzapur. 1: Asur
What do you get when you mix a terrifying serial killer, a high intensity cat and mouse chase, and a cast that has fine actors like Arshad Warsi and Barun Sobti? An incredible crime-thriller show that will keep you hooked till the very end. Available on OTT platform Voot, this 2020 release marks the web series debut of our favourite ‘Circuit’ (Arshad Warsi) and makes for a delightful watch for lovers of crime-thriller genre.

2: Laakhon Mein Ek
This show might not be as underrated as the others on the list considering it was highly publicized by the streaming platform Amazon Prime, but we simply cannot get over how incredible this show is and wish for everyone to watch it. The show, created by popular comic Biswa Kalyan Rath, has two seasons with two completely different stories. The first season follows the struggles of a teenage boy from Raipur who takes admission in an IIT entrance coaching center, while the second season stars Masaan girl Shweta Tripathi as a doctor fighting for better healthcare services for Sitlapur village, where she is posted for a cataract camp. Beautiful storytelling and incredible performances makes this a must watch for all.

3: Hostel Daze
Any Indian web show lover knows that no one does it quite like TVF. After the popular Kota Factory, they bring you this hilarious campus-comedy featuring four friends - Jatin, Rupesh, Ankit and Luv, as they live their lives in a hostel of an engineering college. The characters in Hostel Daze are bound to remind you of some of your own friends and it is this endearing and relatable quality of the show that makes it a hit. You can stream it on Amazon Prime Video.

4: The Raikar Case
Did Tarun Zachary Naik Raikar of the powerful Raikar family of Goa, jump off a cliff or was he murdered? A classic whodunit plot turns into an engaging family dram, which gradually unravels to reveal how every family member is a suspect with a possible motive for the murder. 5: Pushpavalli
Brought to you by the hilarious Indian comic Sumukhi Suresh of Comicstaan fame, this adorable comedy drama series is a light hearted watch that will leave you in gags. Based on some real life

Adapted from an Israeli TV show of the same name, this crime thriller stars Ronit Roy and Tisca Chopra in a gripping tale of terror and high stakes. Dr. Mira Anand is scheduled to operate on the Chief Minister, but the night before the operation her family is taken hostage and she is asked to botch up the surgery and kill the CM. Ali Abbas Zafar in talks with Diljit Dosanjh for film based on India's 1984 riots

Filmmaker Ali Abbas Zafar is in talks with actor Diljit Dosanjh for a film based on the 1984 riots in India that occurred post the assassination of Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. According to the reports, he has always wanted to make a film based on the riots and now has found the subject to work on the script. He will be creatively involved in the script apart from producing it. Ali and his team are in talks with Diljit Dosanjh and feel he is best suited for the character. The actor reportedly has agreed verbally but the makers take a final narration in a few months. The idea is to begin the project after the situation returns to normalcy. Interestingly, Diljit Dosanjh has already worked on Punjabi film Punjab 1984 based on the rights that was directed by Anurag Singh. Released in 2014, it won National Film Award for Best Feature Film in Punjabi.
